4×4 is a student-run literary collective at Columbia University. We publish a print magazine each spring, and hold events and open mics throughout the year.
We accept submissions of any genre from all Columbia undergraduate students. Submissions are read anonymously and must pass a 2/3 majority in order to be published. 4×4 also hosts an annual competition judged by an accomplished author.
But we aren’t just a print magazine: we’ve also established a thriving writing community. Our events are often co-hosted with other groups in Morningside, like WBAR, Sig Ep, ADP and BookCulture.
