Dance
Columbia Raas was established in the fall of 2003 to celebrate the tradition and energetic style of Garba-Raas. Raas is a Gujarati folk dance from the western part of India. CU Raas has performed at various venues on campus as well as off campus, and has competed in Garba Raas competitions along the east coast and in the midwest for many years. At home in NYC, CU Raas strives to be an exciting addition to the diversity of dance styles and cultural experiences available for their fellow New Yorkers. Beyond the dance itself, we are a group that prides itself on truly being a family. CU WHAT?!? CU RAAS!!!
