SEADS (Columbia Students for Southeast Asian Development & Service) seeks to engage students in Southeast Asian history and current events by connecting them to local and international academic, social, cultural and humanitarian issues related to Southeast Asia and greater development themes. We aim to bring awareness and foster discussion around Southeast Asian sociopolitical and economic issues. Our mission this year is to host a series of lectures and/or panels around important issues in the Southeast Asian region and to bring a critical perspective in trying to understand them more deeply.
