The Columbia University Women of Color Pre-Law Society aims to foster an environment where students of color---with an emphasis on women and non-binary students of color--- with interests in law or law-adjacent fields can gain insight and information into the process of applying to law school, the experience of being a person of color in law school, and the experiences and opportunities in the legal workplace thereafter. This Society, therefore, helps to prepare students of color--and particularly women and non-binary students of color--for success in the legal field by serving as an opportunity for students of color to pursue events and opportunities presented by the Society and further their knowledge of the many aspects of law school and the legal field.
