Founded in 1996, Columbia University Chinese Students and Scholars Association (CUCSSA) is one of the largest and most prominent student groups in the U.S. CUCSSA grows and thrives under the canopy of the world-renowned Columbia University and the metropolitan New York City, and endeavors to achieve its mission through enriching and enhancing the cultural lives of its members, and promoting view exchange and mutual understanding between the future leaders of China and the U.S.  Four major brand-nameprograms are established to fulfill CUCSSA’s mission: New Students Care Program, Columbia China Prospects Conference, Columbia China Forum and Columbia University Chinese New Year Gala.
In recognitionof CUCSSA’s achievement and programs, renowned leaders such as Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg, the United NationsUnder-Secretary-General Sha Zukang,  NYC Comptroller John C. Liu, and Ms. ElaineL. Chao have all written to support CUCSSA’s initiatives and to encourage its growth.  CUCSSA looks forward to furthering its mission in the years to come.
