Columbia University (CU) Taiko is a group dedicated to the practice of Japanese taiko drumming. CU Taiko is open to undergraduate and graduate members of the Barnard/Columbia/TC community. Our group serves as a medium through which students who have a passion for Japanese/Japanese-American culture, heritage, and art may explore them and promote public awareness. We perform at cultural showcases,festivals, private events, etc. We are open to collaborations, workshops, and educational outreach with other taiko groups, musicians and culturally-focused performance artists.
