Founded in 1996, Turath was established to foster community involvement within the undergraduate Arab population, to provide a voice for Arabs on campus and to promote awareness and provide a forum in which to appreciate and discuss the colorful cultures of the Middle East. To that end, Turath hosts several film screenings, musical and literary performances, social events, political events and much more each semester. We strive to unite students interested in Middle Eastern culture, history and current events by providing a forum in which Arab and non-Arabs alike can exchange their experiences and thoughts.
