International & Multicultural
The goal of the Ukrainian Students Society of Columbia University (USSCU) is to unite Ukrainian students by celebrating and sharing their own culture. Additionally, to welcome students who are studying the culture of Ukraine 9and its people) through its language, literature and history.
Also, the Ukrainian Club would work with the Harriman Institute and The Ukrainian Film Club to promote more activity among undergraduate students.
The Ukrainian Students Society's contribution to the Columbia Community:
- meet on a regular basis to share thoughts and ideas
- discuss current events in Ukraine
- venture out on Ukrainian field trips in NYC
- have a common area to meet and study together
- socialize with other University Ukrainian Clubs
- sponsor cultural events (folk-dancing and singing)
- organizing cultural workshops (Ukrainian food and crafts)
