STEM
Our chapter’s mission is to instill a passion for aerospace engineering that leads our members to pursue impactful and gratifying careers in the aerospace profession. We also seek to promote technical excellence and a collaborative community between our members and the Aerospace faculty at Penn State.
Our chapter participates in many events, such as field trips, design challenges, guest speakers, and involvement fairs. Our chapter tries to pick events that are both rewarding and inspiring for our members. We also try and pick events that help underclassmen determine their choice of major. We hope to be a place where undecided students can learn whether they want to be an aerospace engineer.
Our chapter also promotes the national organization. Each year, we participate in the AIAA Region 1 Student Research Conference.
Finally, our chapter tries to participate in science-related events in the State College community. We do this to try and increase the interest in STEM fields among students in our community.
