BAPS will be solely a student organization affiliated with Penn State University. Each year, we are planning to organize three to four cultural events.
Welcome Event for New Students: This can include an introduction to Bengali culture, ice-breaking activities, traditional music, and food. It could be a casual meet-and-greet or a more formal evening with performances and speeches.
Cultural Fest: Organize events for Durga Puja, Pohela Boishakh (Bengali New Year), or other significant festivals. Include cultural performances, traditional food stalls, and art displays.
Movie Nights: Show Bengali movies or documentaries to highlight Bengali cinema. This can be a more relaxed event.
Sports Event: Organizing a sports event such as Cricket/Football can be a great way to bring people together and promote teamwork and friendly competition within BAPS.
Intercultural Exchange: Collaborate with other cultural organizations at Penn State to host an event that showcases different cultures through music, dance, food, and art.
