The college of EMS Student Council provides a vital link between students, administration, and community in an attempt to enrich the intellectual and social atmosphere of the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences. Our meetings are held on alternating Wednesday evenings at 6pm with our THON Organization with some combined Student Council/THON meetings. Throughout the semester we host many events to help enrich the atmosphere of the college. We host professional development events such as faculty-student dinners, breakfast with the deans, and events with the Graduates of EMS (GEMS). We also host many social events such as a homecoming celebration in the fall, the college's semi-formal night (Gala) in January, an end of the year picnic in May, as well as many other smaller events throughout the year. All students, including those outside of the College of EMS, are welcome to join!
