Graduate
The goal of EGSA is to provide a sense of community to the graduate students who study entomology at Penn State: University Park. Students can be from any department, though many students are in Entomology and Ecology. EGSA's officers attend departmental committees and advocate for graduate students, and then return to meetings every other week to discuss the issues as a graduate student body. All feedback is then given back to the committees. EGSA hosts weekly social events including Craft Night, movie nights, ice cream socials, and trips to amusement parks. EGSA also helps to fund student travel to conferences as needed. Funds are collected through fundraisers by selling member-created crafts at conferences, outreach events, and sales.
