The purpose of GENOMIX (the Bioinformatics and genomics student association) is to provide a forum for undergraduate and graduate students whose research is related to Bioinformatics and Genomics at the Pennsylvania State University (PSU) to engage in activities related to (1) academic aspects of the Bioinformatics and Genomics (BG) graduate program, (2) recruitment, mentoring, and professional development, (3) special activities (i.e. social activities) and events (i.e. BG Retreat, CCGB seminar, and workshops), (4) outreach to other groups at PSU and the broader community, and (5) to provide a platform to connect the graduate community across the huck institute or relevant programs of interest.
