Fraternities
Our beloved organization was founded on April 5th, 1979 at Rutgers University on goals, values and principles not very common among fraternities of the time. After 45 years, we still strive for academic excellence, cultural awareness, role modeling and brotherhood. These are the pillars that have helped our organization and its members succeed academically, professionally and as community leaders. Among all, our bond as brothers is based on honesty, commitment, respect and trust. We are one of the largest fraternities in the country and, I must say, the one with the strongest bond among its members. This is why Lambda Sigma Upsilon is not just a Greek organization, but it is a movement.Our brothers are empowered and motivated to be ambassadors everywhere they go. Throughout the years, we have seen that the values instilled in each of us becomes part of who we are.
