Dance
Penn State Lyrical Line Dance Company, primarily known as PLL Dance Co., is the university's premier lyrical dance company. While our name highlights lyrical style dance, we are open to and embrace other genres like contemporary, jazz, and even occasionally hip hop! We consist of about 30-40 girls and rehearse throughout the school year to prepare for our biannual showcases.
Our rehearsal schedule is designed to be flexible with each members' schedule so our dancers are not limited in what they can participate in at school! We have a 2-hour mandatory full company rehearsal every Sunday and members can sign up for additional 30-minute small group classes throughout the week that will all be performed at showcase.
We also participate in many fun events like homecoming, THON, bonding activities throughout the year, and we even take a trip to Disney World where we perform and visit the parks every other spring break. While dance is a huge passion of ours, at the end of the day, PLL is a family first. Many of us are close friends, roommates, and even sisters. You will never feel alone at Penn State when you are part of the PLL Family!
