The Aviation Club of Berkeley is a student-run organization dedicated to fostering a vibrant and inclusive community of aviation enthusiasts. The club focuses on community, education, and service as its three pillars.
Community:
We build camaraderie and forge lifelong friendships by connecting pilots and aviation enthusiasts through regular meetings, social events, and flying activities. We also provide a space for members to share their passion for aviation, learn from each other, and exchange knowledge and experiences.
Education:
We offer ongoing learning opportunities through guest lectures, workshops, and presentations from experienced pilots and aviation professionals. We will additionally empower aspiring aviators through the Private Pilot Ground School DeCal (returning Fall 2024), a student-run course designed to provide ground school instruction in preparation for flight training.
Service:
We encourage members to pursue their aviation dreams by providing resources, guidance, and support. We also plan to inspire the next generation of aviators through educational outreach programs at local schools and youth organizations.
