Penn State Mining Society is the student chapter of the Society for Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration (SME).
Our main goal is for students to expand their knowledge, create networks and and obtain internships and full-time positions within the mining and heavy civil industry. We do this by providing our members with out of the classroom learning opportunities, conference trips, and weekly informational meetings.
