Schreyer for Women is an organization created in 2017 within the Schreyer Honors College that focuses on empowering our Scholars and surrounding communities. The foundation of this organization is built upon four pillars: Community Engagement, Career Development, Service, and Special Projects. These pillars provide a foundation for vibrant programming and provide spaces for Scholars to network, collaborate, learn, flourish, and contribute to their local and international communities while at Penn State and beyond. Our mission is to engage students in the SHC community at Penn State through events meant to bring focus to, and alleviate barriers to female-identifying individuals' potential in both our local and global communities. This is accomplished through the creation of networks and thought processes meant to help members reach their potential professionally; the organization of service events surrounding the empowerment of women; and the coordination of social events aimed at strengthening relationships within the community.
