Volé
Dance
Volé is the largest dance organization on Penn State's campus. We are a co-ed, all inclusive dance company. We offer all styles of dance, including ballet, hip-hop, tap, jazz, lyrical, modern, pointe, and more.
In order to become a member, you must attend a placement class at the beginning of the semester so we can place you in the correct level. This is not an audition, but to simply gauge your technical skills.
We offer three levels of technique classes: beginner, intermediate, and advanced. We also offer skills & strengths conditioning classes. As a performer, you must attend one of these classes a week, plus one hour of rehearsal per each showcase dance you are in.
We perform all around Penn State's campus, most notably at THON and PSU's Best Dance Crew.
We offer two showcases throughout the school year that are open to any member to perform in: Fall and Spring semesterly showcases.
Volé hosts 2-3 events each week. These include our paired socials, retreats, our semesterly formals, our barn party, participating in Homecoming, our Big/Little process, and other fun events.
Volé is super involved in THON, and we are paired with two families. We have fundraisers and bonding activities with our families and THON partners. During THON weekend, there is so much love and support in the Volé section of the stands.
You will often hear the phrase "Volé love" echoing through campus. We hope you join Volé - if you have a passion for dance, we have a place for you!
