!!Join our Teams page and sign-up for our email newsletter!! The Department of Energy (DOE) Collegiate Wind Competition (CWC) prepares you to enter the the wind and renewable energy workforce. CWC is divided into three main contests: Turbine Prototype, Project Development, and Connection Creation. The Turbine Prototype contest challenges you to design and build a small-scale off-shore wind turbine. The turbine must then complete a set of tasks in a wind tunnel at the in-person competition. Through the Project Development contest, you will design a hypothetical wind farm project from scratch. You will also learn about site planning, financial planning, risk, environmental, and societal analysis, and more. The Connection Creation contest allows you to gain stronger marketing and outreach skills through social media management, event planning, and community engagement. We have won first place in the CWC 5 times since its inaugural competition in 2014. We hope that you will join us to continue that legacy!
