Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc was founded on January 16th 1920 on the campus of Howard University. We are a community conscious, action oriented organization founded on the principles of Scholarship, Service, Sisterhood, and Finer Womanhood. Even though we
are not the first sorority to be founded, we are a sorority that has many firsts. We are the first to charter a chapter in Africa and Trinidad and Tobago. We are the first to establish a national headquarters. We are the firsts to form auxiliary groups, and
the first and only sorority to be constitutionally bound to a fraternity; Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.
