ACM (Association for Computing Machinery) at Purdue is an organization for connecting students, faculty and companies for the betterment of the computing community. As a representative of one the world's most influential computing organizations, we provide academic resources, forums for the spreading of ideas, and communities for technological discovery and growth. To support a multitude of interests, ACM is divided into several sub-groups, called Special Interest Groups (SIGs). Here’s our current list of them:SIGBots (Robotics)SIGAPP (App Design)SIGGD (Game Design)In these groups, students get the chance to develop technologies and applications in a team environment that has a meaningful impact in a wide variety of places. Some of the great things that have come out of Purdue ACM include PROS (an open source robotics operating system used by over 21 thousand users for VEX micro-controllers), 7 unique and complex independent games since 2011, and the Official Purdue App. TLDR: We make cool stuff and have fun doing it, so check us out! We accept all majors!Learn more at: https://acm.cs.purdue.edu/You can ask us questions at: https://discord.gg/2pEsxdA
