Alpha Kappa Psi is the premier developer of principled business leaders and is the oldest and largest professional business fraternity both in the nation and at Purdue University. Founded on October 5, 1904 at New York University, AKPsi now has more than 230 college and alumni chapters. Purdue University’s Pi Omega chapter was founded on February 5, 2000. What sets AKPsi above all other organizations is our work hard, play hard culture. We work hard to fulfill the objects of our national fraternity by educating the public to reach for and demand excellence through the Professional Speaker Series. It has brought in experts in customer service, entrepreneurship, and job search with over 200 participants at each event. The Brotherhood within our organization is unlike any friendship and it lasts a lifetime. Recruitment and call outs occur within the first three weeks of each semester followed by a ten-week pledge process where potential members come together to build friendships and professional relationships by learning the history of Alpha Kappa Psi and hosting professional, service, and fundraising events.
