Founded in 1928, the original purpose of the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) was to represent airport management throughout the United States. 85 years later, AAAE's primary goals remain heavily involved with representing airport management personnel at public use airport nationwide, particularly assisting them in fulfilling their responsibilities to the airports and communities they serve. The purpose of this student chapter of AAAE is to foster the development of aviation professionals through active engagement in opportunities such as professional networking, facility tours, and the recruitment of guest speakers to speak to the organization. Student chapter members are not actively engaged in airport management, but they are affiliated with Purdue University, which has a direct interest in airport management through the Department of Aviation Technology.
