This conference includes topics such as diversity appreciation, networking for leadership, running effective meetings, and leadership styles. Faculty, staff, student organization presidents, and past EMV attendees are invited every spring to nominate freshmen who show potential for leadership. Former EMV participants are among the most involved students on campus and can be seen leading many student organizations at Purdue. EMV alumni have included past Purdue Student Government Presidents and Student Trustees. As Purdue alumni they are very vocal about their EMV experience being a factor in their personal and leadership development.
