Fermentation Club builds a community on campus for students to learn about and experience the art and science of fermentation, inclusive of both traditional food and beverage fermentations and fermentations across multiple industrial contexts. Our mission is to educate the campus community in the sustainable use of microbes to solve diverse societal challenges. This will include opportunities to learn about fermentation by way of: discussions surrounding food and industrial fermentations, gaining practical knowledge of fermentation, and exploring career options in the fermentation industry. Membership in the club will include experiences such as such as: hands-on fermentation activities, touring industrial and food fermentation facilities, and bringing in relevant speakers.
