The GEARE Student Chapter was founded in spring of 2006. Members of the Purdue Global Engineering Alliance for Research and Education began the student organization under the guidance of Eckhard Groll, Jerry Matthews, and Dan Hirleman. In Fall 2006, the Purdue GEARE student chapter organized the first annual Global Opportunities Fair for global companies and students interested in work abroad.The GEARE Student Chapter, as well as the number of events it offers, is growing!
