Hindu YUVA (Youth for Unity, Virtues and Action) is an organization dedicated to the create a platform for students to explore and practice Hindu culture and way of life. We are a volunteer based organization which provides the Hindu youth across college campuses in the United States with a platform to practice, preserve, promote and protect Hindu dharma. Hindu YUVA Purdue chapter engages in various socio-cultural activities aiming at realization of this objective.At Purdue we organize regular programs intended to develop personal skills, character and virtues like self-discipline, self-confidence, and a spirit of self-less service to the society. Regular Sanskrit class, Yoga session, discussion sessions on ancient Vedantic philosophy are conducted on weekly basis on campus.Apart from regular sessions, luminaries from different spheres of life are invited to campus to raise awareness about the Hindu thoughts and philosophies, highlighting titanic contributions of Hindus in the fields of science, art, music, language, medicine etc.Hindu YUVA Purdue organizes the celebration of different Hindu festivals like Vasant Panchami, Ram navami and, Diwali. The events provide the local Hindu community an opportunity to refurbish their connections to the root.Hindu YUVA believes in Sewa (self-less service). It strives to live up to this principle through various philanthropic works which include distribution of winter jackets among the homeless, catering for the senior citizens in the old age homes, cleaning the highways free of cost, and rendering community services in many other ways.
