Leave Your Legacy! Who are we?The Polytechnic Student Council (PSC) is a student-led organization that serves and represents the students within the Purdue Polytechnic Institute. The PSC is a direct line of communication between students, faculty, community members, administration, alumni, and industry representatives. We are a liaison between Purdue Student Government, other student councils, and other organizations whose decisions affect us.What are the benefits of joining PSC?The Polytechnic Student Council provides an excellent opportunity to gain leadership experience, to network, and to feel good by doing good. You may only be at Purdue for a short time but the Polytechnic Student Council gives you a way to leave your legacy at Purdue.How is the Polytechnic Student Council organized?The PSC is comprised of Representatives, Executive Officers, and three Purdue Student Government Senators. Two students from each individual department within the Polytechnic Institute represent the Polytechnic Student Body as Representatives. Departments include: Aviation and Transportation Technology Construction Management Technology Computer and Information Technology Computer Graphics Technology Engineering Technology Technology, Leadership and InnovationRepresentatives are voting members of the Council. They complete projects and initiatives that better the Purdue Polytechnic community. Representatives are required to join one Committee, attend weekly Council Meetings, and bi-weekly Committee Meetings. Projects are defined as anything that the Council can do to better the Polytechnic community. Projects are planned, proposed, voted upon, and put into action by ALL members collaborating together.The Executive Officers include the President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, and three non-voting PSG Senators. They oversee the operations within the PSC and are separate from Representatives. They are required to attend weekly Council Meetings and weekly Executive Board Meetings.The Committee Chairs lead their individual committees.
