PEO brings engineering to middle school and high school classrooms in engaging and innovative ways. This club was started to help show the next generation that science, technology, engineering and math are not only incredibly important fields of study, but also interesting and fun ones. We partner with organizations, such as College Mentors for Kids and Girls Scouts, as well as local schools, to bring engineering into the classroom. Additionally, we love to have fun, and seek to create a welcoming atmosphere for all. New members are welcome at all times of the year! The club generally meets once a week at 6:30 pm on Mondays. Most meetings are spent brainstorming new project ideas or angles that embrace engineering principles, finding creative ways to safely share those principles with kids, and planning going to middle schools to teach the lessons. Members have a desire to work with younger students, an enthusiasm for STEM fields, and represent various majors at Purdue.
