View our website for Full Information on applying, members, news, budget, etc.Purdue Student Government (PSG) is composed of an executive staff that oversees PSG’s three main branches.Senate, the main legislative arm of PSG is composed of students representing the various academic colleges on campus. Senate is responsible for drafting, debating, passing, and enacting legislation pertaining to the issues pertinent to the student body. The Student Body Vice President is the President of the Senate and the Pro-Tempore is the spokesperson of the Senate, who communicates concerns to the Cabinet and all of PSG. The Board of Directors (BoD) is the executive branch of PSG. The BoD is comprised of eight different committees, emphasizing different areas of the student experience. Each of the committees have an Executive Director (ED), who then oversees Directors that are responsible for carrying out the objectives of the committee and the aims of the administration.  The Student Court is the judicial arm of PSG. It has total jurisdiction over all PSG matters. This includes hearing internal PSG grievances or trials, as well as hearing all traffic ticket appeals for Purdue students. The Court rules on the constitutionality of all PSG actions in accordance with the PSG constitution and by-laws. The Court also maintains a department of legal aid to provide Purdue students with assistance regarding typical legal problems, such as landlord-tenant disputes and local ordinance violations. The President and Vice-President are accompanied by the Chief of Staff, Treasurer, Senior-Policy Advisor, Secretary, Press-Secretary, Pro-Tempore of the Senate, Chief Justice of the Student Court, and the Association of Big Ten Students (ABTS) Liaison, which makes up the PSG Cabinet.
