Purdue University Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit affordable-housing organization. By partnering with low-income families to build simple, decent homes, Habitat works toward its goal of eliminating poverty housing. Purdue Habitat for Humanity works with Habitat for Humanity of Lafayette and with other local Habitat affiliates to construct homes in the area. Builds take place Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. throughout the academic year. During spring break, Purdue Habitat sponsors trips to work sites in other regions of the country and sponsors international trips either during spring break or early summer. In addition, Purdue Habitat raises money for new construction projects and strives to educate the Purdue-Lafayette community about the problem of poverty housing in the United States and around the world.Visit our main website for more information:http://purduehabitat.weebly.com/TO JOIN: Go to our WEBSITE (above) and check out the MEMBERSHIP TAB.
