What is the Rising Professionals program?The Purdue Rising Professionals program exists to honor distinguished young alumni and inspire Purdue students to discover their Boilermaker experience. Each year, a Central Committee of student leaders at Purdue recognize a group of alumni who embody qualifications of extraordinary career and life experiences, well-rounded accomplishments, and great involvement during their time at Purdue. What is a Rising Professional and what do they do during the program?A Rising Professional is someone who graduated within the past five to ten years and made the most of their time at Purdue. The primary role of a Rising Professional is to inspire underclassmen Purdue students, encouraging them to take advantage of the plethora of opportunities Purdue offers. During the program, the Rising Professionals have the opportunity to share their stories about their own professional and personal success, impacted by their experiences while they were on campus. Through classroom talks, program panels, and various other events, the Rising Professionals will be able to reach out to all areas of campus and inspire Purdue students to pursue their passions, much like the Rising Professionals did. Each Boilermaker experience is unique, and we strive to reflect a diverse breadth of experiences within our panel of Rising Professionals. How can you get involved?The Central Committee is supported by a dynamic group of hosts that have been selected as some of Purdue’s top students. The program hopes that this opportunity allows our hosts to see the benefits of fully investing in the remainder of their Boilermaker experience and inspires them to become the next class of student leaders.
