WELCOME!Purdue's Student Chapter of Environmental Education focuses on teaching about natural resources and what environmental education looks like through different professions and perspectives. WHAT WE DO:We are a very busy club that is always working on a project, going on a field trip, or having fun club outings! We meet with a lot of different speakers for our regular meetings and learn about environmental education in their profession, network, and learn about various resources professionals use. We also have a lot of other scheduled events, including tree plantings, working at community gardens, field trips to local parks, working with local schools for environmental programs, helping with invasive removal, and a lot of crafts and brainstorming ecological lesson plans. We also have a yearly conference hosted by the Environmental Education Association of Indiana, which is a three-day conference where we network with professionals, attend educational sessions, and have an amazing time out in nature! We also organize certifications so students can learn and teach environmental lesson plans created through the Department of Natural Resources! We strive to be out in nature and learn about the natural resources of Indiana.HOW TO JOIN:If you are interested, we have an email list you can join to get reminders, event sign-ups, general announcements, and environmental education job opportunities! Join the email list here! We also have a SCEE GroupMe for the 2024/25 year that we will send reminders and information in. You can join that here !Our call-out is TBD! We will meet every other Thursday at the same time and place. Questions/CommentsEmail an officer, and they will get back to you asap!Pres: Leah Griffin griff303@purdue.eduVp: Norah Snyder snyde358@purdue.edu
