The Neuro-Symbolic Intelligence Society at Purdue University is a student-led organization dedicated to the free and collaborative study of neuro-symbolic artificial intelligence. Our focus lies in the integration of modern deep learning techniques with foundational symbolic reasoning, bridging the gap between data-driven approaches and structured cognitive models.We operate on a three-pillar framework to foster a vibrant community of AI enthusiasts:Learning: Enhancing knowledge of neural networks, machine learning, and symbolic AI through research, workshops, and discussions.Mentoring: Sharing expertise and fostering growth by teaching, presenting, and supporting fellow members in a collaborative environment.Creating: Applying skills and ideas to build innovative projects, academic papers, and open-source tools that contribute to the field.Open to all Purdue students, we aim to explore AI's interdisciplinary potential, advancing hybrid systems that address complex problems in cognition, science, and technology.
