Founded in 1995, WIA is the only non-profit organization dedicated to advancing women in the field of animation. Its mission statement is: "We envision a world where women share equally in the creation, production, and rewards of animation, and we provide resources and connections to make it happen." This club is an extension of the organization that focuses on the higher education of women in animation and seeks to connect women together within the field while encouraging self-assurance in their talents and professional endeavors.
