What is WorldHealth Purdue?WorldHealth Purdue is an organization committed to expanding access to healthcare both locally and globally. We recognize the innate complexity of health issues, which is why we seek out students across all majors. In other words, you DO NOT have to be in a health-related major to join us. As a member of WorldHealth Purdue, you will have the opportunity to participate in productive conversations about global health issues and go out into communities to make a difference. We work right here on Purdue’s campus, in West Lafayette and Lafayette, in the Midwest, as well as internationally. Each year, students have the opportunity to volunteer alongside professionals in underserved countries, where we set up medical clinics and serve people in the impoverished areas. Students also have the opportunity of volunteering on domestic service trips in Chicago and international trips (e.g. in Honduras), which are focused on human rights and public health. Whether you’re passionate about serving, advocating, or fundraising, or a combination of all three, there is a spot for you in WHP.
