Our organization's goal is to give Michigan students the tools to leverage the most powerful vehicle for influencing human behavior: culture. Members gain hands-on experience, navigate business cases and create a campaign for the NSAC competition in April (as current 2nd Place winners in the 2023-2024 school year). Our Beliefs:The best advertising isn't advertising, it's cultural production. Therefore, we approach all our work through a cultural lens. We use the book "For The Culture" by Marcus Collins—our club advisor and award-winning marketer—as a guide for creating the best possible Plans Book for NSAC. What is NSAC? This chapter competes in AAF District 6 of the National Student Advertising Competition (NSAC). In this annual competition, a corporate sponsor (client) provides a case study outlining the history of its product and current challenge. Past clients include Tide, Coca-Cola, Meta Quest 2, Tinder and Tide. Students must research the product and its competition, identify pain points for its consumers, and devise a comprehensive campaign for the client. Each student team then "pitches" its campaign to a panel of judges, and the winning Presentation+Plansbook may become part of the company's next ad campaign. For more information, please contact Eduarda Galera at eduardar@umich.edu.
