Joan Viteri Memorial Clinic is a student run clinic affiliated with the University of California, Davis School of Medicine. Located in Oak Park, Sacramento, JVMC proves free and unbiased healthcare services to the community. / Joan Viteri Memorial Clinic is a student run clinic affiliated with the University of California, Davis School of Medicine. Located in Oak Park, Sacramento, JVMC proves free and unbiased healthcare services to individuals who use intravenous drugs, individuals who work in the sex trade, trans folks and any community member who walks in. Our clinic provides such services through a triclinic structure with our main clinic operating every Saturday of the month, our specialized Women's and Legal Clinic operating once a month and Gender Health Centre which is a satellite facility for our Gender clinic that provides hormone therapy to transitioning individuals twice a month. JVMC is affiliated with our community partners Harm Reduction Services in Sacramento that operate a needle exchange program in conjunction with clinic. HRS extends their social work capabilities to our clinic on a weekly basis which assists out patients who are housing and food insecure allowing them access to much need resources extending from Sacramento through out Northern California.
