The Official Competitive Hindi Film-Fusion Team at UC Davis!
The Hindi Film Dance Team at University of California, Davis, Lashkara, meaning the spark of light, is an intercollegiate competitive group that strongly values leadership, responsibility, and excellence both academically and on stage. Lashkara was started eleven years ago, with the goals of creating lasting friendships, improving the dance skills of each team member, and maintaining a strong sense of South Asian pride on campus. Our performances incorporate jazz, contemporary, hip-hop, and Indian classical dance styles alongside energetic Bollywood choreography and captivating storylines.
We recruit every Fall in October. All interested students should look our for our workshops and auditions for the 2021-2022 school year on Facebook and Instagram!
