The CGSC aims to act as an advocate for the interests of Chemistry graduate studentsto the Chemistry Department. In this role, the CGSC shall, among other things, organize student committees, organize discussion events, collect information via anonymous survey, and present information and guidance to faculty committees in the department.The CGSC also aims to increase social activities among all members of the department. In this role, the CGSC shall, among other things, organize passive and active events open to graduate students, post-docs, faculty, and staff; collaborate with other student organizations; and engage in fundraising to collect funds for future events.The CGSC shall meet at least once a month to discuss and plan initiatives related to these aims.
