The Criminology and Forensics Initiative (CAFI) hopes to create a casual environment for those interested in forensics and criminology-related topics to socialize with other students, learn early field insights, become competitive applicants, and gain access to a large network of connections and resources! CAFI strives to pursue these objectives by:- Organizing pre-professional, internship, scholarship, and networking opportunities to help young professionals prepare for their desired careers.- Providing opportunities to serve the campus and community, as well as aiding organizations with a similar mission.- Encouraging academic networks and fellowship between students through a variety of social events.- Furthering community interest in criminology, criminal justice, and forensics by providing relevant and affordable resources. Over the course of the semester, we plan to host events and opportunities surrounding topics ranging from activism, sociology, law, and justice to medical science, criminal investigation, and true crime. Membership is open to any interested students at the University of Michigan, and general members of the public are welcome to attend any events that we host in the community. No matter what major you are, we'd love to see you at a meeting!
