Element-1 is the University of Michigan's only breakdancing club. We are committed to fostering friendship and leadership through hip-hop and in particular its dance form, bboying (breakdancing). In order to uphold our objective, we meet at least twice a week to practice and learn from each other. We also hold workshops and once a year we host a large breakdancing competition as well as smaller one which brings many renowned figures in the hip-hop community together, giving University of Michigan students the chance to meet them and learn about the impact hip hop has on modern culture.
