HISO is established for the purpose of providing official representation for students in the Masters of Health Informatics program at the University of Michigan. HISO is meant to ensure consistent and regular communication between Masters of Health Informatics (MHI) students and the faculty, staff, and administration of the University of Michigan. HISO seeks to establish a singular voice and point of contact for the student body of the MHI program.HISO also strives to be an organization devoted to fostering a community of common interest, increasing awareness of the field, and providing opportunities for professional development and networking.
