Spark the Mind that Change the World! The mission of the Men of Color Leading In the Classroom (M-CLIC) program is to impact and increase the number of UM African American, Latino and Native males to go into K-12 teaching. Through M-CLIC we serve all UM students interested in enrolling in the UM School of Education at the University of Michigan and pursuing a career in education post-graduation. Join the brotherhood, support the mission and get involved TODAY. Maybe YOUR Purpose is to Teach! M-CLIC is housed in the Office of Academic Multicultural Initiatives (OAMI), a unit in the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (ODEI) and is funded through the Morris Hood, Jr. Educator Development (MHED) Program, created by the Michigan State Legislature in 1998 as part of the larger King•Chávez•Parks Initiative.
