M-PWER is a student project team focused on sustainable aviation. Our goal is to evaluate the potential performance and environmental benefits of aircraft powered by hybrid-electric propulsion systems using a model aircraft as a testbed, operating on a one year design, build, test cycle. The desired end state of this project will be an informed, comprehensive assessment of the unique technical opportunities and challenges posed by use of hybrid-electric propulsion system architectures on future aircraft.We also aim to grow our members' skills in aerospace design, systems engineering, sustainable aviation, product development, and project management.
