Michigan Impact is a premier student-led organization at the University of Michigan, committed to the principles of impact investing and sustainable business practices. Our mission is to educate, inspire, and empower the next generation of leaders to use capital as a force for good. We believe that intentional investments can drive positive social and environmental change, and we are dedicated to providing our members with the tools and opportunities to make a meaningful impact.Our club offers a comprehensive program that includes educational modules, professional development sessions, hands-on projects, and high-level networking opportunities. Members gain valuable insights into the world of impact investing, learning how to evaluate and execute investments that deliver both financial returns and positive societal outcomes. Examples of impact investments include microfinance, venture capital for social enterprises, green bonds (climate bonds), public equity investments in companies with high ESG ratings, and financial services supporting clean energy projects. Additionally, we host an annual symposium featuring speakers from leading organizations who share insights on impact investing, ESG integration, and sustainable business practices.
