The Michigan Innocence Club is a student-led organization dedicated to educating and engaging undergraduates in innocence work and the criminal justice system and fundraising for the Michigan Innocence Clinic's fund for exonerees. Founded on principles of accountability and justice, the Michigan Innocence Club serves as a platform for students passionate about law, criminal justice reform, and the protection of civil liberties. The club fosters a supportive, inclusive environment where students from diverse backgrounds and levels of understanding come together to learn and contribute their perspectives. By organizing speaker events, book clubs and movie screenings, and educational workshops, Michigan Innocence Club both raises awareness and empowers its member to become effective advocates for change within the legal system. The club also serves as a space for students interested in learning more about law and criminal justice to explore their interests.
