MME’s purpose is to educate students regarding the opportunities, innovations, and potential of the marine energy industry and to contribute to the advancement of the industry through innovative applications. The team’s mission is to ultimately create a competitive submission for the Marine Energy Collegiate Competition sponsored by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) by creating an innovative business plan, technical design, and scaled prototype for marine energy harnessing.
