The mission and purpose of the Michigan Orthopaedic Surgery Interest Society is to provide members with educational, volunteer, and networking opportunities that may allow them to learn more about the field of orthopedics while engaging with other members who share a similar interest. It is our goal to provide members with vital experiences. This includes hearing from people in all stages of medicine such as medical students and their medical school application process and attending physicians in orthopedics speaking about their journey, giving back to the community in ways that coincide with orthopedics, and providing the means for members to learn more about what clinical research entails. Through these involvements, we hope our members will be able to create, cultivate, and develop a potential interest in the field of orthopedic surgery.
